just bought a sub with a rms of 1000W and getting another in a month when i have the money. Any suggestions for what amp. They r both 1 ohm 12" subs with 1000W rms a piece.

Thank you thats more the power i need. Both subs can handle 1000w rms on their own wired together that puts them at 2000w rms

is rms the same as peak?? im not very educated in this department... i just know that my 1000W Sony Xplods are loud and hit hard as hell haha

wow 1000rms each your car is gonna sound like a rattling honda civic

My one 300rms kicker rattled my gen2 to no end, i ended up taking it out

no thats not their peak. I have one twelve right now running 800w and it is as loud as many peoples 2 12s if not louder. So i cant wait to get my new subs and find an amp. it will be ridiculous haha

ya i cant decide if i should just get stay with one or buy the second after my paycheck. Cuz my memphis right now barely rattles just brake light hiting back winshield. if i go two dynamat like crazy haha

actually they alpine Type-R is about 500w ish. per sub not 1000w..
its 1500w peak not RMS.. so that much power may blow it up

which one do you have?

maybe the alpine mrp-m2000 @ 4ohm. that would bang..and its cheaper than anything out on the market! i say 4 ohm because the amp is rated at 1500w @4ohm but the dampening factor would be nuts!

i dont have alpine sub i have fi sub which has 1000w rms just gotta figure out what amp and it is 1 ohm
