2007 solara audio system?

Hi guys, i just got my 2007 solara SLE and have a couple of questions.
btw, i got mine for $9700 with 40k mileage and no accidents
anyway, when my key is in "accessories" position, the radio works.
but i just noticed that the radio didn't work with the key in acc position.
could it be because of cold weather?

Weather shouldn't be a factor with your problem. Is this the factory system or an aftermarket? Does the radio come on with the engine on also?

I'm thinking three causes right now:
1) fuse - easiest remedy, pull the fuse panel under the dash and check for a blown fuse
2) faulty ignition switch - worse case scenario, will probably need to visit a dealer
3) faulty wiring from the stereo to the ignition switch, better remedied by a stereo shop than the expensive dealership.

If the fuse isn't the problem and if you bought it from the dealer they should (hopefully) fix this problem at no cost. If you bought from a private owner it couldn't hurt to ask if he had the same problem or, most importantly, did he have an aftermarket previously or had any modifications done to it at all.
