cool! I have been thinking about filling in that weird gap as well on each side for the trunk but this is the first time seeing 2 10s on one side!

The easiest way to fill the voids would be to mask the whole area with masking tape, then tin foil. then set your box in place and spray expandable foam in the crevasses. Once it all expands and dries you can carve it with a knife into the shape you want then sand it smooth and wrap it.
