I just wanted it to be detailed because i had to put some things together in my head to figure some things out. Honestly on a scale of 1 to 10 on difficulty. I'd say a 2.5. Only thing you need to know is splicing and stripping basics.

Quick question:

A neon light has two wires, black for ground, red for the power.

From your tutorial, the red wire is connected to the battery, so which wire is connected to the trigger wire in the door?

Thanks.

The trigger acts as a ground wire. Negitive Polarity. Anytime, post some pics after you're done, Good luck man.

well i finally finished doin this ...took about 4 hours...i did it completly diff though then the why u did..i didn't trigger it with the door..i used a switch and i didn't run it directly to the power...there was already power there where all the wire are by the pedals...
