If you'd like to request a Gen 2 tutorial, please post it in this thread.

If you'd like to offer assistance, don't just reply to the request in this thread. Please write up a TUTORIAL so other members can use it too.

Thanks,

DIY on how to revert to stock airbox after installing an Injen and/or cp-e intake. (For future reference of course)

Here is the install procedure for Injen. The install is the exact same as cp-e except for the MAF customizer box is not on the Injen.

For going back, just follow these directions in reverse.

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=18389

For cp-e, there you need to bypass the customizer box with a provided jumper wire. So it is as if the box was not even there. Check the threads by DowntotheC as they should have more details on cp-e.

Can someone please post something on Wiring the power cable for an amp. If you have time, replacing the head-unit would be awesome too. But if not, wiring the amp would be just as great.

Thanks,

Rohan

I'll put something together. I already have pics that I took for the install instructions that I actually took while reverting.

Dash/Console Tightening

Does anyone know where the attachment points are for the dashboard/console? I noticed that there is a creaking noise coming from the area around my right front speaker -- it's really annoying. I found that it makes the same noise where the dash meets the windshield when I push on the front passenger airbag area -- I figure the dashboard is probably slightly loose. I want to tighten it, though I'm not sure where to look. If someone can post a tutorial or a diagram showing the "anatomy" of where the screw mounts are, that'll be great!

Thanks!

there isn't really anything to it

if you can change the low beam bulb, you can install HID

and the manual covered how to change the low beam bulb already

i use double-sided tapes and zip ties to secure the ballast to the cross frame right above the headlights

you can always pop the hood and see if these all make sense to you

if not, you can always ask more questions :)

p.s. just don't touch the HID bulb with your fingers during any time of the installation
