Here's a good story. After refusing to buy resistors online I finally drove down to Fry's electronics and of course they didn't have anything to handle 50 watts, but they did have 25 watt resistors. So I brought out the old trusty treo and did the math. After trying several combinations (thank you three years of electronics, cause they were out of stock on majority of them) I was able to pick up two 8.2 ohm and two 30 ohm resistors. For 6.46 after I picked them up and a Rockstar energy drink. Installed them and now I'm not doing the robot to techno at every turn because of my blinker.

For anyone who would rather spend 2 bux for each light the formula is this for resistors running in parallel.

r1xr2
r1+r2 = rt

so...

30x8.2
30+8.2 = 6.44

When applying to wattage it is obviously strait forward because voltage remains the same while amperage is divided but that's all you need to save yourself some time from shipping and a few bux.

Another SG DIY

I've actually had them on over a week I just finally got around to stopping the stupid strobe light blinker... Here are some pics, sorry for the poor quality but my camera crapped out on me. Trusty treo wins again!

See, aren't you guys happy I was the first to pioneer this for you? Its the best mod for the gen2, IMO, it sets it off.

Quick question - do the 07 lights come with an amber signal bulb in them that needs to be replaced with clear?

Just wondering...
