Gen2 Cold Air Intake Installation Instructions.

TIP! Install will be easier if you have a ratcheting 11mm wrench for the t-clamps.

SAFETY FIRST:

Disconnect and Remove the battery from vehicle and remove plastic tray underneath. Now put on your gloves on.

Using a utility knife, trim approximately 2 inches from the left side of the tray (part facing the engine).

Now, remove the entire factory air intake system. Starting up front, first remove the two "fake ram air" pieces that are attached to the upper radiator support with three 10mm bolts. Next, There are two 10mm bolts holding the airbox bracket to the battery tray, remove those. Now, unbolt and remove the white baffle located near the battery tray. There are also two 10mm bolts hidden inside the factory air box so remove the lid and take out the filter to access them. Finally, unscrew the clamp that holds the accordian pipe to the throttle body and disconnect all plugs/vacuum lines paying attention to where they go.

Once you’ve removed your stock air intake system, carefully unscrew your Mass Air Flow sensor from the factory air box and re-install it onto the adapter located on your upper CAI pipe as seen below:

Next, jack up the front driver side of vehicle.

It provides the best access if you remove the front driver side rim/tire but you can also turn the steering wheel all the way clockwise to gain access.

Disconnect the front portion of the plastic inner fender liner to gain access to inner front bumper area behind driver side fog light.

Once you’ve gained access you can attach cone filter to end of 75 degree pipe if not already attached.

Now put the pipe marked (A) with filter attached into the inner bumper by reaching into the bumper through the wheel well opening. CAREFUL not to damage the air filter!. Push the open end of the pipe (the side without filter) through the hole that enters into the engine compartment (under battery). The air filter should now be positioned inside the front/side bumper behind the fog light facing the side of the vehicle as pictured below:

Now go to the front of the vehicle and reach into the engine bay and pull the pipe through so it ends up pointing up next to the battery. Install the straight coupler with t-clamps positioned as pictured below (to avoid clamps rubbing on the radiator hose or battery):

Next, take the 2nd pipe marked (B) and connect the straight pipe to the open end of the pipe you just routed into the engine bay and now attach the final pipe (C) to pipe (B) and then attach the angled couple to the throttle body. Finally, plug in your Mass Air Flow connector, two vacuum lines and your crank case breather hose to pipe C. as pictured below:
