Full Ground Effects Kit.

Full Ground Effects Kit.

Postby philliptedja » Sat Apr 21, 2007 3:55 am

I've got a full ground effects kit.. (2 pieces for the front bumper, 2 pieces for the rear bumper & also 2 side skirts). I do not think the SE even comes with this side skirt.) *please correct me if I'm wrong. NEW.. I bought it thinking that I want to install it on my solara but decide to try to sell the car instead. So, I have a complete set of ground effects kit. I paid quite a lot of money for it close to $3500 since it is so hard to find it in US. I ended up buying from a guy who imports car from US to Asia.

The kit is practically brand new. Unpainted. NEver been mounted/ even tried on. It still has the original Toyota wrapping and all. It includes the mounting hardware as well.

Anyway, I would like to try to get as close to my purchase price as possible. And shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will help out as much as I can with the shipping. I'm willing to drive ~50 miles to drop it off. I know that the price is a bit steep. But considering that this kit is so hard to get. So, anyway, send me an offer on it.

I know that the pictures are only a few. It's because I do not want to open all the packaging. I could provide with more pics. Just PM me but please only serious buyers.. Please PM me offers/ questions. Also, if paying by paypal. Please add thet 3% charge.

Thanks.

ps: If anyone is interested. I could probably get more of this kit. If enough wants it, I could probably ask for a discount/ something but it wouldn't be much. :o

Good luck...but the closest price you may get is something around 30% of your purchased price...at most. It's the SG reality.

Do you have pics of the kit on a Solara ??

$3500 for the body kit? :o

If you want to make some money on this, use your pieces to have someone make copy parts. You could sell tons of kits here if they are around $1000 each.

Otherwise you might want to go ahead and list it on EBay. I doubt there's anyone here willing to pony up that kind of cash for a OEM kit.

Agreed

100% agreed, if you want to make some money, have a company make a mold of the OEM kit and keep hold of it. I'd be suprised to see you get $1500 shipped at the most for it.

from what i know is that you cannot just put the front lip on your oem bumper. the sports package bumper actually had two holes to accept tabs from the front lip.

Thanks for the infos.. I really appreciate it. I remember trying to get it last year from the dealership and they couldn't get it for me. I'm not trying to rip anyone off.. Just want to get back my money.. Anyway, about that 30% thing. I will let it go for $2500. If thats just how this forum works.. I just honestly want to sell it off since I'm selling the car.

So, u're saying that people are willing to buy an aftermarket kit for this for around $1000? Let me think about it then.. Thanks alot for the infos.

I have not been visiting this forum for quite a long time. So, just want to check.. Is this kit now readily available from the dealership????

The install is a pain in the butt, but if somone removed the kit from a SE sport and made a hole template, the install may not be so bad.

To my knowledge, Toyota has not made this available as a kit. You still need to order all the pieces seperately in their jacked up pricing.

Reggie (NVDIS1) , if you're out there, have you ever quoted us a price for the kit through you?

I'd suspect even with Reggie's inside pricing and handling, it won't be anywhere as low as $1000 - $1500. Having copies made would be a very lucrative business.

Damn, whats with the $500 low ball offers...

Seriously, everyone wants this kit... we all know how expensive this thing is from Toyota... If he lets it go for $1500 that would be a great price.

great price.

Ask Milt - we're all just trying to beat him to it first! ;)

Seriously - to me, I'd rather spend $1400 on some headers/Y-pipe than $2500 on some plastic trim... but everyone has their own priorities...
