^^^ Good prices, where the FUUUCK were you when I needed tires??????

I have had 2 kinds on my 20s: Sumitomo (HTRZ II) which were about $150 each (installed) and Ventus (K104 Sport) which were about $180 each (installed) (I got a better deal on the Sumitomo's because I think those are better tires... well at least I like them more)

Both brands were 245/35/20

Oh, I had to call you... I thought you had ESP... LOL!!!!!

And the added cost of the tire maybe worth the protection you give your rim... 45 = alot more protection than 35... :D

***off topic, dont forget about the 12.1" laptop... Milt is very interested :D

I'll probably be happiest with an ultra-light 17" that is 7.5 or 8" wide to wear broader rubber... running about 45/50 series on the walls... (possibly an 18 x 8...) I'm certainly not set on the TRD rims, just wanting to be with a quality product... and I've been trying to find the weight for stock & TRD since I started lookin'..... additionally, I don't like to "spread" the rubber to the bead... I prefer a little "pinch"... (even though that wears early in the tread centers...) I pinched 255/55/16's on two Supra's, and the stance and effect was "meaty" and aggessive, but sleeper-subtle with the stock rims...

...anyway, I'm rambling...

Thanks for the input... Milt, nice tease! 8)

Let me just suggest that if you do go with 17s, do not reduce the size of the sidewall to anything lower than stock... so even if you go with 17x8 you should still get a 55 profile tire or you will end up with a car that resembles a raised truck sitting on 13s... LOL!

Also... if you can get a good quality 18" rim that is lighter or equal in weight to the stocks then I would say go for that... (reduce the tire sidewall size so that the overall circumference stays about the same) because then you will have bigger wheels (looks better) without any negative effect on weight or mileage...

YES, of COURSE! (on the 55 sidewall w/17's...) Your points bring me dead-smack in the middle of where I've been settling as my thoughts have formed on this matter... everything to the "18's if stock or lighter" recipe... I'm just about there. In the end, I'll pick the rim that fits my performance/price with consideration to appearance as secondary... I don't plan on looking lame, just appropriate counts for me. (cool is good, BLING is... maybe not so much.)

Thanks for the thoughts...

D'oh!! SORRY! Not meaning there is an issue with what is catagorically referred to (or tends to be) as BLING. I don't wear "fancy" (THAT sounded better.... NOT! :o ) I mean... "OVERLY SHARP". (how's that?)

I like a little bit "low key", or "sporty/bad" but not "stylin'/bad".... does that make sense?

Anyway... Posh, your ride looks BAD! (In the GOOD kind of BAD way!! DAMN it all with the colloquiallisms and ideomaticity of todays vernacular!!! :o )

Your ride looks GOOD.

Somehow, against ALL odds and logic... I wonder what those would look like on my '04 cosmic blue? (I actually like the rim... looks like I would CRACK it going through Detroit, though....)
