-This vehicle was purchased from, maintained by and upgraded by Ourisman Fairfax Toyota (for Toyota Racing Development upgrades).
-Speaker mounts were custom adapted from 6”x9” to fit 6.5” speakers. Doors and rear deck tray are completely sound dampened using Dynamat Xtreme (this vehicle used to have a competition sound system). Alpine headunit can be controlled using the factory steering wheel controls!

The people on this site who know me know this car was built and cared for with love, and it was done using only the best… It’s practical, safe, reliable, comfortable, economical, and definitely a whole lot of fun to drive! Not to mention the looks it gets as you’re cruising down the street  8) .

I’m in the market for a house, and unfortunately I do not currently have the resources to keep this AND buy a house… As hard as it is for me, it’s time to sell… This car has more than $6,000 in HIGH QUALITY, PROFESSIONALY INSTALLED upgrades (parts only, not including installation), but I’m asking for LESS than ANY Blue Book private-seller value!

Asking $16,000

Buyer will need to arrange for local pick-up in Northern Virginia (the car is located in Burke, VA, around 20 minutes from Washington, DC). I'm willing to drive within a 50 mile radius (possibly slightly more depending on circumstances).

The car is completely paid off, title should be here within a couple weeks max (I have requested that it be expedited).

Check out my SoundDomain site linked in my signature for pics. I uninstalled the sound system shown in the pics, and replaced it with the sound system listed above to sell the car with.

email me at theprodigy@erols.com with inquiries. You can also PM me, but direct email is probably the best method of contact.

I'll miss her, but I have my priorities. I hope she goes to someone who will love her as much as I do...

-James

Wow...parting with your car to buy a house. You have your priorities right, but you sure you can't swing both?!? I think you'll be sorry after it's gone :(

What will you buy next that will save you, seeing that it's paid off??

I'll definitely be saddened to see it go... but I need the money freed up for a bit... Trying to get qualified as a single dude in Northern VA is extremely difficult, the cheapest townhouses around here start at $300,000, and you can expect to add another $200K for the cheapest single family homes (I'm going for a mid-level town home)...

The fact that I do have it paid off is great, but I spent a lot of my resources in order to get that done... so my plan is to get the money out from this and purchase a $3,000-$5,000 car to beat around for a year or two and use the additional $10K or so as part of my down payment on the house...

I've already qualified for an APR in the upper 5% range on a 30 year fixed... so I'm set with that... but now I just need to get my down payment in order so I can make a quick move when I find something (before the market begins to increase again in the Spring).

Once I get into a house and settle for a while, I'll definitely go for something new again... but we'll just have to see what's out when that time comes ;-)

But meanwhile, someone will be very happy with this car...

^^WOW, 5% is AWFULLY low. Are you paying points or something? I just refinanced at 5.75%, and I have excellent credit.

Just an FYI, if someone qualified you at 5%, that's most likely not the rate you will get, unless it's LOCKED IN and you have that in writing. I'd check on that, because your payment will quickly rise as the interest rate goes up. Also, the APR is not likely 5%, but the interest rate is (if you get it). APR includes other costs associated with the loan, and is usually slightly higer than the rate you get. The higher the APR than the actual interest rate, the more fees the lender is charging (hiding). So, if your rate is 5%, your APR might be something like 5.94%. If your rate were 5% and your APR 6.5%, the lender is charging you a lot for something, check out your GFE.

If you have any questions, let me know. I'm in the business.

Yeah, I dropped the decimal... upper 5% range 30 year FIXED (locked) APR. It's legit, and in writing. I was getting at the fact that I got a good rate ;-)

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Eddie, I still would like to meet up some time.. with or without the Lara. I'll always be a SG at heart :-D

Hopefully I won't have to wind up in too much of a crap box when I sell this... There are an awful lot of Hyundai Accents and Kia Rios in my price range :-P

5% is VERY low -- doesnt sound right, especially if its a first home purchase and you probably arent even doing a 20/80. My brother is in the mortgage business, he'll tell you there a ton of way to pad loan and make them look better than they are. Just be carefully and read/understand everything.

I feel your pain on the housing market, i cant even get a decent 2br house w/o a garage on less than 0.25 acre for 500k here. Good Luck on selling the car and finding a place.

5% is possible..depending on which lender and how many points you wanna pay.

countrywide has/had (not positive, this was a week ago) a 30 yr fixed for 5.75% no points with exceptional credit. obviously lower if u pay points. It's also a low amount, still considerred a conventional loan so rates are a little bit lower.

If you can afford it, then dont do a an 80/20 or and 80/10/10, it'll just cost more and you'll max the equtiy out on your property. plus the interest rate for a 2nd lien is in the mid 7s right now, so your overall payment will be higher. But if you cant afford the downpayment, then do go with the 80/20 option, there are other first home buyer options you can do also. talk to your lender, it's different in every state.

If you can afford to pay some points to get a 5% 30yr fix, then do it. it's worth it in the long run..especially in this current market.
