As far as "scrambling" goes....complete toss up. I have heard both sides of the story. Some drivers swear by it, others think its crap. I have the same feelings about radar detectors, I got more tickets with than without a detector in my car. People think of it as a "free pass" to drive at risk. If ur in the camp that likes em, then this is probably a good item for you. If not, pass it up.

I have learned with radar detectors, you get what you pay for.

Generally speaking, most Whistlers are JUNK, fork out the money for a good brand like Bel, Escort, Valentine One, etc.

Absolutely!

Whatever you do, stay away from Rocky Mountain Radar.

I think RMR is out of business now, aren't they? Haven't tried any laser scramblers yet not sure about those at this point.

Anyway - I've gone through a few out there... and settled on the Beltronics RX65 - saved my arse many a times now!

Now the only real annoying thing is those damned speed limit signs that post your speed (K band) and an occasional supermarket.
