Greetings,

Just bought an 04, Pearl White SLE...love the car. I'm looking for a good source for a TRD muffler. The tach is the only clue that the engine is running. Any on-line resources or helpful parts guys you can suggest from your experiences?

Thanks,
Mark R

Anybody knows, does this muffler really give some boost up to the engine? Or it just sounds/looks better than the stock?

Just putting a muffler on any stock system is not going to do much. BUT the TRD works great with a custom catback.

No real power gain from the muffler, but the sound improvement is great. I like it because it's only loud when I want it to be, and doesn't sound ricey. Normal driving you can't really hear it much, but when you get on it, it screams.

Also, TRD is not the only muffler, I think inokturnali has a Borla that sounds great too.

So I won't feel any speed improvements, if I install, yeah? Here, in Ukraine, it's gonna cost me about 750$ to get it, so maybe I'll try to search for some local alternatives.

Have an exhaust shop upgrade the size of the piping (2.5 inch) all the way back with a highflow resonator. Then attach that to the TRD muffler

Ok, can I ask u a few questions?

1) So, I'll need some extra resonator, yes? What kind of to tell to the mechanic-guy?
2) Is the pipe gonna be 2.5 inch and going directly from the engine?
3) It would be easier for me to install some local muffler with the sound I like. Or it would be better to choose TRD muffler because of it's quality?

ditch the overpriced TRD and go with Magnaflow street series setup. it costs less than half the price of a TRD muffler

Injen + Magnaflow

2) 2.5 inch from the catalytic converter flange back

3) You can install any NON fart cannon you like but the TRD muffler is a very high quality stainless muffler from borla
