OK guys, I have a set of chrome 19x8.5 ADR spartans that are just taking up space. they are 19x8.5, offset is around 30ish....I'm not for sure because I bought them when I was young and stupid. However, they look good, and I figure someone will want them. I want like 400 for them, I don't want to hassle with shipping, so people near local are strongly preffered. They have three tires on them Falken Azenis st115, 225/35, but they have been in my basement for a couple years, so they may not be good. Located in Charleston WV.
The lips on the wheels have some nicks, and some rashes..but since they are chrome it is very hard to tell...

Can you find out what the offset is? It is usually listed on the hub.

I have previously checked on the offset, but I will check again next time I am home. they were a good flush(almost poke) fit on my stock height gen5 camry, and I think with coils or a moderate lowering spring and some camber they would be pretty nice..

I might be interested. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, which isn't terribly too far of a drive. If these were 18s I'd take em in a second.

I do have a question..with 19s, would it be a very good idea to upgrade the suspension too? My car is not lowered at the moment but I am guessing I would still need stiffer shocks...if so, I can't really afford to do that at this time. :(

I really don't know what hits/fits on a gen2 solara( i drive a camry)..Maybe someone else will chime in. you'll be putting new tires on them anyway, so you can get the right size..

You don't upgrade your suspension to get wheels not to rub, you roll/stretch/camber.. kinda like pop/lock/drop.

I'll just shed some light into your question about rubbing and what nots.

My Gen 2 Solara...and rims and tires experiences...

1. Rim size: 18x7.5 +38 offset...stock height, no rubbing. Can't remember tire sizes, but should be close to stock specs.

2. Rim size: 20x8.5 +38 offset...stock height...they rub during sharp turns, fronts and rears. Will also rub more in the rears when I'm 4 deep going over big humps/drops in the roads at high speeds 60+mph. Tires are same as stock diameter.

3. Rim size: 18x8.5 +45 offset...stock height, they rub, both fronts and rears, when I'm 4 deep. Same situation as above. Can't remember tire sizes, but same as stock diameter.

4. Rim size: 20x7.5 +45 offset...air bags suspension so I can tuck in the rears and still cruise at low speed. 225/35 tires. NO RUBBING.

5. Rim size: 20x8 +45 offset...air bags suspension. NO RUBBING

Let me tell you, it's not good on the sidewalls of your tires and you'll get rubber peels as well.

Back to what's on sale 19x8.5...you really need to check and post the offset of those wheels.

Like scamry said, you'll need to roll/cut the rear fenders or do some sort of modification to the thick rear fender beaded-lip of our gen 2s to avoid any rubbing. It'll definitely look much better. I'll eventually get to doing mine sooner or later, it's on the to-do list.

Just a final thought...before you purchase any wheels and tires from tire shops, they'll sell you anything and everything and will claim that they fit with no rubbing issues, they just want to make the quick bucks. I've learned the hard ways and hope you do your homework. However, I used to know a tires and wheels guy that told me everything straight up and wouldn't sell me something that didn't fit properly. He/we always tested it on the rack before I buy anything. Too bad he doesn't work there any longer... :(

GLWS again.

ehhh....bump,

and thanks for the rubbing rundown, however the lack of tire sizes makes it kinda useless, as a 215 vs 225 vs 235 etc.. makes a big difference...but again, thanks!

these should fit most anything with a roll/shave

He is right...without tire size, this info doesn't mean much. I've talked to 3 people with 20x8.5, 40mm OS, 225/35/20 that don't rub, and 1 was lowered on TRD springs on sport struts.
