but....i installed it with my friend and i didn't see any rat in there

LMFAO,................he's just fawkin with you. Its normal, I had the same thing for a week or two along with the others on the forum. Your exhaust has to be broken in and whats burning is the materials inside of the exhaust. You just gotta put up with the smell for awhile but it'll eventually go away.
