Yes it is street legal. The best sounds will be in the lower rpm levels. A real deep sick sound....

I got the EVO II on my 5sfe and it sounds great. I didn't have a problem passing emissions or inspection the last time it went in.

The sound is deep and its amazingly quiet until you get on it. You will be happy with your purchase, I know I was. 8) 8)

"Get on it"

Postby JMSinMaryland » Mon Nov 28, 2005 11:45 pm

No offense but this weekend I drove my parents 2000 LE I4 auto and I don't think the I4 is capable of getting on it or even out of it's own way. Sometimes I question if the S/C was necessary over the stock V6 with having to put on premium, etc until I drive the I4. It's night and day. Jon.

^^^^ I'm not claiming that a I4 will take off like a V6 or other cars faster but it sure beats having a even smaller motor with less then 100 hp......

There are 5sfe's out there that are worked and do have the potential to keep up with the rest, just gotta put time and money into it getting there.

^^^^ There wasn't any holes to plug up b/c I have the 1st gen, only the 1.5 gen Solara's require you too plug up the hole. If you need to plug up the hole, you can always cover it with a nut & bolt, covered with some exhaust wrap or weld it.

When I got my exhaust it came with a gasket for the flange and the bolts that you've mentioned and a Greddy emblem, shouldn't need anything more for the install.
