That's exactly what I've always thought since I've seen pics of the new camry. I like the car overall though.

Wish the Gen2 had the new 3.5L V6...I would prefer a Gen2 Solara over the new 07 Camry if both had a 3.5L.

I post on alot of forums and crap and that avatar is the sexiest one I have ever seen. Great avatar, man.

Oh and the camry. I think its pretty damn sexy myself. We got two in at the dealership and they look great in person.

Personally, I like the challenge of making the new Camry look hot. It can be done.

Too bad they didnt give the solara the "smart key" system- that would have been a sweet option to have on our cars.

the CE model is back. the new camry looks really nice, it has some exterior features that is similar to the Lexus GS.

I think that Solara will not survive this one.....there is too many features reserved to the Solara (1999-2006) that the 2007 Camry onws now. A car company cannot fight itself...the next Solara must be a real monster to survive this upscale Camry (talking espacially of the SE model) I like the model pretty much...3.5L V6, 6-speed sequential transmission, dual exhaust and a Solara like interior !! Ouch !!

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that the solara will be discontinued after gen 2.5 is done

Saw my first 07 Camry SE on the road today, it was titanium silver and still had stickers on it. Looked nice, still not completely sold on the look yet.

i think it looks a lot better than the previous gen. i really like the SE V6 (268 HP and 22 MPG city /31 MPG HW ). but unfortunately, it will probably reduce the sales of solaras...

notice the "cut" lines in the front fender and hood and the rear fender and trunk lid is along an angle over a crease in the sheet metal. that is the future "look" for toyota. it is a statement for those educated and understand the massive lead in engineering, mechanical and production technology that toyota currently and will continue to enjoy. all other designs will look dated and older in technology. i prefer the clean look now but as we learn and experience more about the future the older cars will continue to look, well, older.
