Hi you all!

I am so happy, :(

Yesterday i park my car for 5 minutes.
After i start my car the engine light came up.

The engine sounds okay but had no power and i drive with a s/c, so my conclusion was the knocksensor. I drive slowly to the Toyota workshop.
They read out the computer: P0330 - knock sensor 2 circuit malfunction bank 2
:bad-words:

They reset the computer.
After 5 minutes the light came on again.

So i searched this forum and i think i have 3 options:

- Replace the sensor with a new one.
- Connect the wires of sensor 2 with the wires of sensor 1.
- Connect a new sensor on a metal part (ground) and connect it with the wires of sensor 2

1. Are these all my options and what can i do best?
2. What is the change i kill sensor 1? (I go on vaction to italie with this car, you don't believe it, but the don't have many Toyota's (workshops)
3. What is the risk i kill a new sensor?
4. i read somewhere that GM sensors are stronger:
-Is that true
-How long will they live when i replace the sensors with GM's
-What is the part number?
-Will it fit or must i modificate it?
5. Is is possible to drive without sensors?
- how high is the risk i kill my engine
- How do i disable the sensors without engine lite on.
6.Why superchargers kill the knock sensors?
7.When i replace the sensors they must lift the S/C. I think that is the moment to replace the water hose, sparkplugs, adjust the valves, but also maintaine the S/C.
-What parts do i need to maintain the S/C and where can i find it?
-Are there are parts i also must replace?

I driving with a S/C on 4psi...no fuel mods

Thanks for all your answers!

You may want to consider the ATS knock sensor mod.

temporarily, do the wiring so that both read off of your single working knock sensor

then make sure you get all the fuel mods possible- jim's fuel mod + pump if you don't have them. then get a new knock sensor for the rear bank

if it was the sensor on the front bank that blew, then just rewire, as it won't be fuel related and is most likely due to extra vibrations, rattling and the frequencies produced by the supercharger itself

Thanks!

I have the problem i drive on LPG because we pay in the Netherlands $6.13 for gallon 95 octane fuel. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autogas)

So i drive 90% of the time with LPG (110 octane) and 10% of the time on 95 octane petrol.
LPG uses the injector signals of the normal fuel system.
But i know my lpg system is not deliver enough fuel. (this mod is coming soon)
So when i do a sprint with high RPM i put my system on petrol.
(just what i did 5 minutes before i killed the sensor).
But i must say i forget to switch it many times in the past.

-Is a knock sensor immediately broken or is that a slowly proces?
-With 4 psi is it normal to use fuel mod or with higher psi 's?
-What is a jim's fuel mod? (i have searched the forum but is can't find it)
- what brand sensor do i need...the origeneel? I have read on this forum that the ats sensor is the wrong one because it is not able to detect knocks (http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php? ... =ats+knock)
-Are the new Toyota knock sensors stronger?
-How can i detect a knock and lean driving?

Thanks again!
