V6, yes. I JUST bought the same Alt for my car today actually, lol. I have a '96. Well, I was told it would work fine. Same engine, so it should.

Noob question, but you only get a higher amp alternator if your current draw is that high. No problems come with having more amps than needed?

it only creates the current and puts the accessory draw on your engine when it's needed

so, long story short, the chances are that a stock camry/solara with a 130amp alternator will never use it to its full potential unless they have a fair sized sound system
