TWM short shifter or TRD RSB?

So I finally got around to buying a new set of tires (General Exclaim UHP 215/55-16) and now I can start deciding what I should buy for my car next.

I've decided to narrow it down to these two mods. I've heard great things about both of them but I can't decide which one should come first. They're both about the same price. I think I would get more out of the short shifter since its something I would be making use of constantly, but I've never driven another Camry/Solara with a RSB so its hard to compare.

What difference did you guys see with your RSB (and TWM shifter if you have one)? Which one should I get first?

I drive a '99 Camry LE V6 btw.

It dpeends... Do you like taking turns fast? Do you make the occasional trip to the mountains? Do you want your car to be flatter through the turns? If so, RSB is the way to go.

The short shifter is more of a personal feel. I like my TWM shifter. It does make shifting feel easier and quicker.

It's just a matter of what you want out of your car... I have both mods :D

Either way... another 5-speed V6 member on the board!! Woot woot!

The RSB makes a drastic improvement with the boat's roll!

Hmm.

I don't take fast turns very often. Miami doesn't have a whole lot of fun roads to do that on. I just thought the better handling would go well with my grippy new tires.

I'm more of a straight line acceleration kinda guy anyway. Does the TWM make that snick-snick sound as it goes through the gates? :-D

And yeah, I love my 5-speed V6. Its the perfect ricer-pisser-offer.

no, the short shifter doesn't make the gates any easier to feel or make any noises....for that, you'll have to pick up a set of shifter bushings as well and a set of shifter base bushings will also help.

I say go with the shifter and all the solid bushings....it makes you feel as though you're driving an entirely different car.

You really should get both. They both make a dramatic change to the feel of your car.

If you are just asking which should come first, flip a coin.

Get one and as soon as you can afford it, get the other. You wont be disappointed.

I definitely vote for the TWM short-shifter and the speedsource bushings. They make driving so much more direct and enjoyable. I've read that a few people have complained that it makes the shifter too stiff, but I haven't experienced that. I could never go back to the stock mushiness at this point.
