oil hanging on the passenger side front control arm

Postby JvR » Sun May 03, 2009 6:15 am

Yesterday i was looking at the exhaust system and I noticed oil hanging on the passenger side front control arm and the area around it.
It looks like engine oil. Anybody know what the leak is?

Thanks

^ Yeap, I have the exact same problem. I was under my car when I noticed oil leaks in the same area as you described. When I took off the front wheel I saw that the power steering pump was covered in oil. My mechanic said it's a slow leak, nothing to be too concern about since the fluid level is still full. I would like to get the rebuild kit though. Does anyone know how much it costs and how difficult the job would be?

heres one. not a hard job to do at all. plus you can get in there and clean clean the crap out of it. might as well replace the belt also. powersteering fluid is bad for other components.
