Finally have a new update!

The wire tuck is basically done. I just need to clean up a few spots. Much to my suprise, the car actually ran last week (no CEL or anything)! Right now it's sitting again as the fuel pump died.

The old battery and fuse box location is starting to look pretty good now - I think.

Here's the other side. Notice that there is no wiring loom running over the top of the timing belt cover.

The engine as it looks now. Needs to be cleaned a bit.

If you look, I decided to make it easier to get to the rear valve cover. No more harness in the way!

Here is the best photo I could get of the NST pulley.

Also, I started making this for the trunk. I made a mold of the spare tire well and fit in a spot for the battery and a fuse box on either side.

Thanks guys!

King,
I'm trying to figure out a way to tuck the hoses and brake lines and such. (It seems the only way to hide the brake lines is to run them behind the firewall and than back out the other side).

No, the car didn't have abs.

Also, as far as difficulty, just make sure you trace all the wires and label them BEFORE you remove anything. Also, make sure to try to limit the number of splices and it's usually easier to run new wires and plugs (www.pheonixtuning.com has all of the OEM connectors and pins ) because, if you're going through all of this work, you may as well replace the 12 year old wires.

I was shocked at how many gashes and breaks I found in the old harness.

Also, I'm looking into a turbo setup instead of the supercharger.

Sweetness!! Put a turbo on there, you already have the room for it anyway.

hey james i know some people in mchenry area that may be able to help you out w/ a turbo. we were going to do that in the avalon but i decided against it due to price and time and custom work.. if i get another 1mz i definitely will go turbo..

Also, the car runs finally! Turns out it was the crank sensor connector all along.
