Introducing me and my Camry

Postby twinjetguy » Sun Nov 22, 2009 11:07 am

Hey guys,

Been going on Toyota Nation a lot and wanted to start hanging out here as well. Been working on getting my Camry up to par, and have had a ton of help from Gabe (trd4life) and Greg (don't know his screen name). Here are the details on my car:

2001 Camry Gallery Series V6 w/27,000 miles on it with the following mods.

TRD Supercharger w/stock pullly
Injen Intake
Custom Throttle Body Spacer
Magnecore plug wires
E3 Diamond Fire plugs
Fuel line/filter mod
Cat Back exhaust w/Magnaflow Muffler
TRD Oil Fill Cap
TRD Radiator Cap
TRD Strut Tie Bar
Whiteline F&R sway bars
F&R cross drilled/vented rotors
Ceramic brake pads
18x7.5 Kyowa Wheels
Yokohama Tires
In Dash Navigation, DVD, MP3, Ipod, blah blah blah.

Here are some pics of the car that were just taken yesterday.

Hope you guys like the car and enjoy the pics! There are more mods to come in the future. I know, I know, I need to lower it a bit, I'm working on it! Future plans include the following:

Tranny Cooler w/Royal Purple ATF
Walbro fuel pump and larger injectors
Springs and Struts
6lb pulley
Possibly a TRD lip kit if I can find one, haven't decided if I want one yet or not.

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with the car. I'm kind of going with the "sleeper" theme. I have name the car the "G.S.S. - Gentlemans Sport Sedan". Really looking forward to having guys in Civics and Integras pull up next to me and suprising the crap out of them!

I love how smooth the power delivery from the s/c is. It makes it a nice daily driver or when I want to take my g/f somewhere. That being said, it's also fun as hell to get on it and show people that not all Camrys were meant for families and old people :D

Welcome!
Looks great, you need to lower though, that would complete it.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

You know the old story of when someone bought a car and they say "I got it from a little old lady"? Well, in this case, it's totally true. I inherited the car from my mom in June with something like 25,500 miles on it. She was the only owner as well. To be honest, I had no idea there were that many options for the Camry until I found Toyota Nation. Of course when I saw there was a supercharger available, I had to have one, lol. It just hit 27,000 miles this week.

I'm totally down for going to a So Cal meet up. Are there any that are close to San Diego? I know they have them in the Riverside area every now and then. I wouldn't mind driving up there for it. Thanks again for the compliments guys, means a lot coming from this board. I know there are some really nice Camrys and Solaras on here so it's cool getting praise from you guys.

Can't wait to do more to the car, just trying to pace myself :drinking:

There is a lip kit on toyota nation right now. Such a nice camry and if you are keeping it sleeper status it might be good to not lower it.
