I just SCORED!!! I went to my local dealer and I got a complete set of TRD struts/springs new in the box for $433 for EVERYTHING OUT THE DOOR! They had been sitting there forever, and they didn't even know what they fit because the part #'s were superceded. Did a little research thanks the Gabe and Gregs help, figured out they were for my car and bought them on the spot!

Normally I hate dealing with dealers, but I have to say this was the best experience I have ever had. Hopefully getting Greg to install them on Monday. The Gentlemans Sport Sedan is almost done gentleman! Well, not done, but damn near!

I appreciate Ryan for going out of his way for me to grab the 92-96 springs for me, as i live in maine and would not have been able to pick them up myself. But its a Lesson learned people, i highly suggest do not tell anyone your parts source if you find a wholesale out the door hookup on super rare discontinued TRD parts.

phuck that >>I'm a douche<<, i know im not liked, but I WOULD NEVER STAB KNOW ONE IN THE BACK LIKE THAT, period, human my asss, gabe has hooked almost everyone up on this board with somthing, and ryan is no exception, gabe hooked him up with a sc, im calling it as i see it, DOUCHEBAG.................. :drinking:

Wow, douchebag? Strong words here. I'm not going to say anything negative about anyone at all until I speak with Gabe. No need for me to get into a forum fight over anything. As a matter of fact, I spoke with Gabe while I was at the dealer.

Anyone on here who has said anything negative about me, keep in mind I have never spoken with or dealt with. You all can sling your mud, it's a public forum, I respect that.

Funny, if you look at my post about them, I even thanked Gabe and Greg for helping me figuring it out what they fit. I guess the part of the story that was left out was that I was the one who asked the guy in parts "Do you happen to have any TRD parts for my 2001 Camry?". No one even knew they had these struts/springs until I asked the guy. Then I spent the next hour and a half trying to figure out what they fit. Even called Gabe while I was at the dealer and had him sign on to my solaraguy account to look in my inbox to help me figure it out.

Who was it that mentioned something about Karma? I guess no good deed goes unpunished.

I have been recently looking across the u.s. for rare TRD parts in back rooms of dealerships (you guys all know how many hours a day i spend looing for parts) . I found a set of super rare 92-96 TRD springs at a dealership in San Diego area. I contacted Twinjet, a recent customer of mine that lives in the area to see if he wouldn't mind picking up the springs for me at the dealership. He said no prob. He called me the next morning when he arrived at the dealership. He handed his cell phone to the TRD parts guy so i could give him my debit card to pay for the 92-96 springs. I gave the parts guy my debit card # and asked him if he had ANY other TRD camry/solara stuff as i would buy it all in bulk. He told me he didn't know what he had out back but he would check and give me a call back. I made sure to tell him how serious i was about buying all this stuff and it was important that he did not advertise any more stuff online until i had first pickings and he agreed, said he would call me back. He then hands the phone to twinjet. Deal is done i say thanks we hang up. Twinjet calls me back few minutes later to tell me that they parts guy has a set of TRD camry springs and struts but he didnt know what they fit. I said "i'll take em. Find out how much the guy wants for them". He says ok i'll call you back. Calls me back a few minutes later and says, wow guess what the guy wants only $399 for the springs and struts , if they fit my car i am going to buy them.

Regardless of anything, I found the dealership that had these parts, therefore i get first dibs on everything there, anything left that i didn't want could have been up for grabs, end of story. Am i wrong here if i am please tell me. This is my BUSINESS. I buy toyota parts and resell them. This is not a game for me. I had a buyer lined up overseas for $1000+ CASH for those springs and struts. Not to mention my boy greg also needs a set.

Wouldn't calling me and saying hey they have some more TRD stuff here you might be interested in buying, instead of hey i cant believe it they only want $399 for these that such a great deal! i am going to buy them for my car. They want only $399 for them because, me, TRd4life finds deals like that. That's my talent i find deals like that. Normal buying customers pay $500 just for the struts, which is still a good deal. These struts are worth $400 PER STRUT, thats with no springs.

Mods just lock this thread please, whats done is done, i'm bummed out and do not wish to talk about this any more at all.

i agree with You^ thats screwed up, never tell anyone where your deals or parts are.. they will always take it from right under you.Bad way to start of new to SG. pretty screwed up again . . we are all a community that helps each other out with deals, special parts or just DIYs. :agrue:

Called you yesterday and this morning to try and talk with you about this but you don't want to answer the phone. Didn't realize you would go talking with everyone EXCEPT for me, then bring this out on a forum like this.

Yes, I did go to the Toyota dealership and pick up springs for you. I have them in my garage. Like I said in my pm to you, I will ship them to you, or even ship them to whoever buys them from you. I was the one at the dealership, I was the one who asked the parts guy "Do you happen to have anything that will fit on my 2001 Camry?". The guy looked at me and said "you know, hold on, I might have something". At this point, you didn't know that they had the struts and springs.

So it is wrong for me to ask a dealership if they have parts for my car? Sure, I was there picking up parts for you, but like I said, you didn't even know they had these at the time. I fail to see how I bought them out from under you when you didn't even know they had them. Then, when I called you to ask you to help me figure out what they were for, you didn't know what years they fit.

After I figured it out with the parts guy and paid for them, I told the parts guy "If you have any other TRD parts for the Camry/Solara, call Gabe because he will take everything you have". I even made sure that he got your phone number.

So since you want to handle this on a forum and don't want to talk with me directly, let me ask this. Since you buy/sell TRD and toyota parts, does that mean every single TRD part at every DEALERSHIP is yours? These were at a dealership, not a good friend of yours, a dealership. Where anyone can walk in, ask if they have a part and buy them.

You also say that you want the thread locked so you can have the last word? It's a shame that this is being handled in such a manner. I would have hoped that you could at least call me and talk with me about all of this instead of talking trash about me and posting on a forum.

This is your place, I am not going to say anything bad about you. In fact, you have done nothing but help me out. I was under the impression that we were friends. You know, I even found a machinist local to me for you to help make parts for your supercharger kit that you are making.

Almost forgot to point out, I had a line on another brand new set of TRD struts/springs. I told Gabe that I would hook him up with the guy selling them. Of course Gabe probably knows the guy, but still, I had "dibs" on them told Gabe "That other set of strust/springs is yours". They weren't much more than what I had paid for these. So yes, you still have access to a brand new set of TRD struts/springs for your customer and wants to pay $1000 for them and you will still make money on them.

Let me know when you want to talk about all of this like adults. As for the rest of you, you can make up your own minds. Try to keep the name calling to a minimum if you can, we are adults and not in junior high. I understand Gabe is very well respected on here and I am not trying to take away from that one bit.

At this point, I agree with Gabe. Let's lock this thread, this is bullshit. I figured it is only fair that I should at least get to speak my peace and explain my side of this ridiculous story before you all go and make up your minds about me.
