Im pretty sure that if you dont know Tony's car by now, you really dont frequent TN or Solaraguy and also do not have any interest in modifying a 1mz.

^True, but there are always newer members and those who aren't aware, so I just figured to post it up here, since the last real mention of the car was either that it was still TT or running the T51R KAI alone.

My goodness he's come a long way with that car. Does anyone know if he's pushing pass 600 whp yet? Lol

He's past 600 at the crank; with drivetrain losses, he's at around 567whp.

^ He's not even running full boost with that power even.........

Saw the car in person in Oct when it was down for the buildup. I learned a lot from him. Especially how to manually shift (up and down) the Auto tranny.

i heard if you do that it can cause problems for the transmission?

^ The only reason I haven't blown my tranny is because I do that, lol. You have to know how to properly do it though. I'm putting down a lot more power then stock, so I save stress on the tranny when manually shifting a certain way.

I always shift on my auto when I engage in spirited driving. You have to know what you are doing though, otherwise you will wear stuff out.

just curious.. how are you suppose to shift in auto? i didnt think there was a "correct" way of doing it.. i use to drive my parents 2002 solara 4 banger auto.. and was doing manual shifting.. till almost 200 rpm before redlining.. i didnt do it alot but there were times..

sometimes i feel i'm really lucky that i end up in the same town as tony.
saw his car numerous time and gotten a ride in the camry once while it was only tuned for low boost with 420whp and i almost wet myself.

he is really something when it comes to cars..he sure deserves some more publicity..but then he can only do so much for others...so sometimes staying out of too much publicity weeds out the noobs that aren't serious about anything.

the pic is a lil outdated...the lower portion of the lip is glossy black now =]
