Progress on my Camry!

Hey guys winter is my upgrading time! And having 2 jobs and house sitting is really helping!

Was looking at rims in my pole thread, but may put my 20's on the Camry I'm sceptical of how it'll look though.... If it's bad I'll be selling them and buying the mb boost and ksport coilovers.

So far I bought this winter
Injen intake
Wiper blades lol
Trunk light bar
Clear side markers
Fabricated custom grill
Go pro camera for drag and autocross
Led's for dash and custom light bar

Next to come!! (goal is to obtain it all before winter is over!)
Cold air extension! Once I get paid
99 maf or tt maf
Gen 3 rmm lip
Plugs and wires
Coilovers ksport from Kenny
Fog lights with led's
Track tires
Headlight projector retrofit

Also theres no more rust on my car! Just gotta get around to painting it really soon some day! :)

Got a few questions though about the projector retro. Where can I get clear lenses without all the lines, etc, also what projectors work the best for retrofits and where to buy them! Thanks guys!

also was looking at some new seats! and then i got thinking i want a black Swede/cloth w/ blue pin stripes and pipping. My dads old friend own a upholstery shop in town and is redoing my friends Buick regal in white leather with teal pipping, and gave him a killer deal! my interior is in good condition but i want BLACK! so im adding that to my list, but will more likely be closer to summer

Hahaha your very set in stone for me not putting the 20's on Eh lol, it'll be an experiment other wise try are going on my parents lhs or I'm selling them! They were never intended for the Camry! They were meant for the LHS!

Edit: so also some other change of plans! The Injen doesn't work on my car so I'm selling that! 120 + shipping and also 99 and tt Maf is no go since they dint work with my ecu. So I'm looking for a aem cai or I'm getting one made by wolftek in town that specialize in custom truck performance parts.

which part? the cf trunk?
the rims and sleek tires?
the clear and red brake lights?
or the sceptre back gen 3.5 rear?

if its the rear light then its on my list and done, but its just a new oem clear red one.

So heres an UPDATE!

im planning on building a 3mz/1mz hybrid here is the plan so far

3.3L 3mz/1mz hybrid
arias pistons
3.5L rods
ported and polished intake
custom CAI
330cc injectors
return style fuel rails
2mz and 3mz cams
engine mounts
ur bars
okada plazma booster
maybe nos to top it off
and tuned to run on 89 oct gas with a walbro 190 or 255 pump
with a standalone ecu
hopefully without nos this setup will push 300whp and 350 with a dry shot

so far ive been talking with the local auto wrecker tracking down low kms parts, talking to Doug (dads friend that builds engines), my dad and trying to get a hold of gabe.

the biggest problem im having so far is figuring out the vvti passages, because im in canada the shipping costs would make it worth it for me to buy the entire engine from gabe, i wish i could but i also want a project to do.

so if i cant block the vvti passages im gonna have to do the 3mz vvti heads or i think... (not 100% sure) but lexus had vvti 1mz heads. so it may end up being a full vvti engine with a lexus upper half. im not sure how the different cam arrangement will work in a vvti setup.

im not sure if the vvti will make me more power or lose me power. Also im not sure how safe running vvti and nos would be.

i cant remeber what rpm vvti kicks in but with built internals im hoping to up the rpm red line to 7000 maybe 8000 ill see what gabe has to say once i get a hold of him.

scrap that vvti idea, its a absolute no go, i dont wanna re wire the entire ecu and harness to run the damn vvti system. so ill be taking some time to figure out which passages to plug.

buying my first part of my suspension upgrades!

Ultra racing Front strut bar! and possibly a torque rod (like 70% i will be anyways)

next in priority order is

1. UR 19mm RSB
2. 65a dogbone
3. custom rear strut bar (so that it will clear my subs, getting the welding students at my college to fab it up :) )
4. ksport GT coilovers
5. UR 4 point lower brace
6. remaining engine mounts once 3mz is done and being installed

then she'll be a super stiff machine.

so received the lights from Killa Cam and they light up my dash like a damn Christmas tree!

also just waiting on hearing back from NGT for buying a Ultra Racing strut bar and silicone couplers for my DIY CAI.

Also found a guy that works with my dad that use to be in a low rider club a few years ago when he lived in Kelowna and now he's gonna paint my car! so im talking to my friend about borrowing one of his spare vehicles while mines torn down, and then we just gotta clean another friends shop for the sanding etc. So im hoping to start sanding this week or next week.

that being said, should i keep it white? or change the colour to maybe a electric metallic blue?
