Racing seats and/or harness

Postby Tiembo » Tue Apr 20, 2004 9:49 am

I'm currently looking for a racing seat and/or a racing harness, since the stock Camry seats don't hold well at 1+ Gs. I've tried out the [most recent gen] Celica seats, but they won't mount to the chassis without some modification.

Anybody know of any other OEM seats that match up to either the bracket bolts or the chassis holes? Or, anybody have any preference in racing seats and harnesses? I'm currently looking into Corbeau...

You have got to be kidding, screw Takata harness'. Overpriced bullshit. Just get Sparco's or Corbeau's harness'. Same quality, much cheaper. But the Sparco Evo2 is a great seat.

Too bad that if God forbid you get in an accident with your Tenzo R seats, they will fold over like a frickin' pancake and you will be crushed. If youre going to buy seats, you are best off sticking to the brands that have been race proven like Sparco, Corbeau, Bride, Recaro, etc... Otherwise you are probably just better off in your stock seat if you crash.
