i took my car back to the shop.
they are thinking of checking at the MAF sensor install.
they needed to re-weld on because of my CAI setup.
hopefully they can fix it this time... lol

as for gas mirage, my on dash mirage thing shows i'm running with 46 mpg :drinking:

i know it's not right, but the unichip i have is modifying the signal after the ecu (most others modify the signal before goes into ecu), it is totally understandable to be off....
my ecu does not even know it's spraying with 630cc injector....

anyways, i haven't calculate the real mpg, and i will do so once i get my car back.

as for smog check, i have secondary cat on my car, and that's it.
my exhaust pipe look pretty dirty black, so i'm guessing it's not doing that well....
i have spark plug anti-fouler on my secondary o2 sensor to reduce the exposure to the the exhaust gas, and haven't had any CEL comes on after turbo installation.

hope it would make some sense...

Yep... makes perfect sense. Do the mileage thing and post results. BTW, when do you need to perform the smog check? What would be recommended on our modified engines?

well. i'm in ohio. and they don't have smog test.
i really cannot say anything about how you should do...

probably if you look around and find your local scion forum, you can find more info on that...

well, i'm driving my girlfriend's 06 highlander hybrid.
and it was one of the reason push me to do this turbo....
you know.. you gotta have a car runs better than gf's SUV... lol

it's a nice and comfortable ride, with pretty good mpg...
but i reallymiss my solara for sure..

Well, good luck with that... those hybrid V-6 haul behind!
I know that you will get it down eventually... do you have any OBD2 reader on you while u drive? Maybe that will show off something (non-CEL) that may point towards issue.

i know... her hybrid has really good pull when i hit the gas.
it's like 267HP on flywheel, so probably she still got more power than my car....
however, it's such an heavy car, and the suspension is so soft,
IF i race with her, probably i can pull a little ahead..
however.... my gf will never do that... lol..

anyways, a/f meter, boost meter has been installed, and the shop will do one more adjustment,
and either way if it fixed or not, i will go pick up my car (can't live without her for so long..)

if it's not fixed, i will wait till when i get ready for exhaust work to be done, then they can work on it for a little more..

however, hope it will work this time...
