04 Solara SRS Light
Posted: Mon Nov 08, 2010 8:20 amLast week the SRS light comes on while someone was pulling a cd case out of the bottom of the passenger seat. So now the SRS light is on and when someone is sitting in the passenger seat it acts like no one is there and says Passenger Airbag off.
I looked under the seat for any lose wires and saw none. I unbolted then seat and layed it back so I could get under it. Everyone looked connected, i even unconnected everything and plugged them back in. I then re-attached the battery and the light is still on.
I called the dealership and they said it would be $100.00 just to diagnose the problem.
Anything else I could do to fix the problem with out going to the dealership? I hear the srs have error codes but i'm assuming you need their special computers to read them.
