00' front grill replacement help needed

I'm trying to replace the front grill on my daughters 2000 solara as the chrome is chipped and blackened. I have done a quick once over and noticed the three screws at the top of the grill and what appears to be a series of clips at the base where it hooks to the bumper. Is there a trick to getting this off the bumper?

Second question: Her car has the gold package so I need to get the emblem off the old grill as it's not chipped up. Is that as simple as removing the retaining clips on the back of the 2 posts?

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated.
