Warped Rotor Question

Postby Solorange » Wed May 16, 2012 5:47 pm

My crappy brembo rotors are slightly warped. I did a brake job on the car about a year and a half ago and the pads have plenty of meat left on them. Just wondering if I replace the rotors if I can continue to use the pads? I'm not sure if warped rotors hurt the pads all that much.

The pads should be fine with new rotors. It will just take a while for them to conform to the new rotors. Then again depending on your choice in pads, would probably be better to just go with fresh pads.

Just do some hard braking runs and the pads should be fine.
