Weird beeping noise from rear seat

Ok, I have a 2002 Solara Convertible. Recently my wife managed to blow the engine so we had a low mileage one put in, it seems to run flawlessly. However, now we have an intermittent "beeping" noise that seems to be coming from the rear of the car, maybe from the back seat area. It comes and goes and if we take the foot off the gas, it will stop, at least for awhile. Same as giving it more gas, it makes the noise go for a little while.
Any ideas?
