That is why I got 35w 6000k's for the fogs, because I wanted a white with slight hint of blue. I can tell you that the 55w 8000K's are exactly the same color as my fogs. You won't be disappointed. If you go 35w on both kits you will want 6000K's for both fogs and lows.

These are pretty close...but again the only true way to tell is by seeing them in person.

$25 for apexcone hid kit with lifetime warrenty and if you dont like it you can prolly hook the a 35w bulb to a 55w ballast to blow it up and get new ones

I would suggest their Slim Ballast Kits. They are much nicer in quality. Their Apexcone's are their generic version that are probably the same knock off kits that everyone else is slapping their logo on. They are much cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

Was it possible to do highs on our cars as well? The highs on our cars work using the DRL bulb I beleive, so would this have an effect on the HID since I assume it raises the power to turn on the brights...

Also just to make sure.. the HID's did make it brighter right? That's my main reason for this mod as I drive through the middle of nowhere a lot at night (pics below)

its more like the DRL uses the high beam lights
and turns down the power to make it dimmer
so there might be a problem since there is less power going to it

So from the pictures are you using sylvania bulbs?

And yes you can do high on your car just as long as you get the right size to fit into your housing.
You can just do a little search to see what size gen 2 uses for their bulbs.
But if you put hid's in your high, and set to drls you're gonna wear it out faster than the normal bulbs since it'll force the highbeam to stay on during the daytime, that is if you drive more during the daytime. drl = daytime running lights
But at night the sensor will see that it's nighttime and will give your highbeam the normal wattage.
The good news is that ddm tuning has a lifetime warranty so it doesn't really matter, just send in the broken ones and they'll just send you another new one.

And as for brightness it should be fine and focused since gen 2s comes with projecters which gives your beam a nice even spread.
As opposed to our gen 1 where we have the stock reflectors/ shields and it'll just reflect the hids beam everywhere and make it seem blotchy and uneven.

I'll test them on my highs and decide on that later

i did not buy anything extra, just bulbs and ballasts
and also ur highs are different bulb size than ur fogs and lows.....so ur gonna need to order the bulbs to test them regardless

No you won't need anything but the HID kits. Trust me, you won't ever have a need for high beams after your 55w low beams
