starting to mod my 94 camry!

starting to mod my 94 camry!

Postby stringbean » Mon Nov 08, 2010 3:24 pm

so my bday was nov 6th and now that i have a little extra spending money im going to start modding.

i have been working on removing rust from my car for a while now, and have been taking videos in the process will post once all is done.
so i just have to paint and clear coat.

in the mean time im trying to get a hold of gabe to buy clear side markers and rear tail lights (also am looking to buy WTB the rear trunk light bar if someone has one)

ive called RMR and while be buying the gen 3 RMM in mid winter so its ready to put on for summer.

im looking at the k sport products and hopefully will be buying some in summer to lower the car.

after that im going to move on to the engine, hopefully by then i have enough money saved for the mp90 or mp112 and new engine or a rebuild and everything should be set and done for summer of 2012.

so the list

current mods
HID 6000k
double din head unit
energy speakers (front)
clarion speakers (rear)
dual 12" clarion pxw
1200 watt legacy amp
600 watt 4 channel
lots of neon and LED in small areas
custom SRI
custom exhaust

next
PAINT CAR, finish rust removal
apply only half the decals
custom grill
clear side markers
clear rear tail lights
new trunk tail light
RMM lip
TRD anti-sway bars
injen or cp-e
lowering springs or coilovers

(i will go as far as this! if i go further its because ive decided not to buy a newer vehicle.

possible (depends if i buy a newer car)
new built engine with a blower
5 speed
new bushings
NOS

cant believe 2010 is already coming to an end! well this should be fun! and my friend is going a build as well 86 buick regal, new 350 coming in soon, that should be fun! where planning on working together and hitting the drag at the same time, tuner vs muscle! should be solid!!

new car? either way ill be modding my car but only to a point, im looking for a 05 sti or 99 chrysler LHS, i love my parents LHS its just large and in charge. but the sti would be so much fun i love flat 4 and 6 (porsche) but i love what is out for my car and i have a love for my car even though i hate it right now because of its condition, but that'll change. i think the part im looking the most forward to is the lip! :)

please comment and tell me if im missing anything lol

cheers
Jared

thanks Gabe, well i bought some clears and rear light bar from ebay. did lots of communication with them, they seem like good sellers, nothing below 99.7% positive feedback, but your price on the rear red and clear tail lights is unbeatable, i will be looking to purchase once i get another pay check or two, then its the RMM lip. from then on ill be coming to you for performance all throughout the winter! I wont lie its going to be a slow progress on my car but it will happen and i will be coming to you. Your the expert on these vehicles. so all you and i need to do is discuss what my first and last upgrade should be and where i would like to end up and whats in my budget. so ill be calling you once i get a lil more money. Thanks a lot again Gabe!

Things on the list are starting to get checked off! Woot Woot!

videos of rust removal and painting, clear coat and fibreglass/bondo will be coming soon!

i want to do something to my corners...... any ideas? or is there blacked out corners for gen 3 camry?

now im just waiting on a pack of LED's i ordered so that i can retro fit my tail light bar so that the C A M R Y lights up with one LED, behind each letter, and have that connected to the tail light power, not brake lights obviously lol :) hopefully it looks as good as i hope and imagine it will.

more pictures to come as the project progress's

oh btw as you can see THIS IS WINTER in British Columbia, Canada! :) Love it!

King & Tony are good at what they do. They aren't on here often, but are part of the SG family as well.

thought id do a quick update!

some of you have seen the rendering of my car

Image

its what im working towards

also bought some LED dash bulbs #194 off of Killa Cam
thinking of buying his rims and tires as well, they look nice and are close but not the same as mb boosts which are becoming more and more popular
SOLD my injen and am going to building my own CAI, the filter i bought will cost more then the total of parts to make the rest of the intake! lol
started on my LED lit "CAMRY" rear truck light bar. Making a DIY for it for the camry people over at TN if it works out nicely.
Body work has been postponed till summer, due to moisture and snow melting here, too much salt and gravel and yet here.
Still working on a DIY for that.
Going to my dads work (CN) shop to work on his truck, at same time im going to paint the spoiler and side mirrors (black as in the render) with their gun!
thinking of joining Gabe's GB for the BBK brackets if i can collect that much money.
RMM lip coming soon, before winter ends
Found some rear gen 4 spats at the autowreckers, just gotta go pick em up and paint them up!

may start piecing together a 3mz hybrid locally and getting my dads friend to start building it for me.
