Staggered 8.5 inch front, 9.5 rear, Tein springs, good idea?

I'm looking at this set of wheels in my area: http://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/2904405898.html. Looks like a good deal, I think....

Staggered: fronts 18x8.5 and rears 18x9.5. Don't know the offset yet. Tires included. Sounds like a good deal, but I will be running Teins w KYBs and planning on rolling the fenders. But, I am wondering if that aggressive of a stance will look bad with Teins since they might be too high, and I don't want to go the coil overs route just yet. Any opinions? Cos if thats too width for Teins height, then I'll just go w other wheels.

it is a good deal but 9.5 is VERY wide for our gen1. You're gonna have to pull your fender.

those were the wheels I was planning on buying too!

they're XXR 962 and you can probably google their offsets.
You may need to buy spacers though

a member here used to have these wheels

so yes it is VERY possible depending on the stretch of the included tires

uhhh I have seen a lot of crap jobs from phonebook/ bat rolling
what you don't know is that you have a high risk of cracking your paint thus leading to rust later on.

if I were you I would do it right the first time and get it professionally done

Offset on the 962s are really low wich means you will be poking alot in the rear!

I think I can do the job, I am good at working with my hands, all I gotta do is use my thinker, be careful, and not mess anything up.

the size of spacers you need depends. for 9.5 wheels, since they are so large they will run on your struts from the inside and poke out from the outside. so you need spacers so they dont rub on your struts but theyll poke out even more lol. basically the size u need is thr suze that makes you stop rubbing.

That was me... With that wide of a wheel. The offset has to be atleast +15 with tire size 205/40/18 or 215/40

Ok, so I gotta check w u guys before I buy, so the 9.5 inch wheel has an offset of +35 according to here: http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-Wheels-962-s/48.htm

So if i need to end up w an offset of +15, I'll need 20 mm spacers, so a pair of these guys is what I need, right? : http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUBCENTRIC-WHEE ... 505wt_1156

a 9.5 +15, :-? your gonna poke out like crazy. Im sorry but it wont look that good on the car since its only on springs with coils you can at least clear the wheel gap, and run some nice camber to make the car look aggressive. I personally wouldnt get it. It wont look too good. But its up to you man. Your taste.

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=50765&start=135 <--- this guy made it work w 9.5 inch wheels and +15 offset. I don't see why it wouldn't work for me. I love the look and I think its gonna look just fine.
