1MZ and 3MZ information

ok this thread shows the thickness of the 1MZ and 3MZ liners. Its intent is to see how much bore each engine can support.

lets start with teh 1MZ, here are the liner thickness and the thickness between the cylinders.

convert this to mm and you get 18.034mm

here are the 3MZ liners

here is my 2ZZ with darton sleeves installed in it, you can see the cylinders are way too close to go any bigger bore.

now i have no doubt that if someone was willing to start the adventure, Darton can make a sleeve and seriously bore out the 1MZ or simply bore out the 3MZ and you can get a 94 or 95mm bore, this with the 83mm stroke will give you

(.7854) X (9.4) X (9.4) X (8.3) X (6) = 3456.0176 which is a 3.4L engine and

(.7854) X (9.5) X (9.5) X (8.3) X (6) = 3529.9410 which is a sweet 3.5L engine
