weapon r intake on a 99 v6 idiling really low

Hey whats up hopfully im posting this in the right section but last night i hooked up my weapon r intake and it ran fine up untill the engine was warm now its idiling really low like under 1 i searched and the only other topic i found was someone having a problem with theirs idiling high so if someone knows what the problem might be help a new solaraguy out

Been a while since I ran mine, but I believe once up to operating temp, it should idle around 700-800

Yeah mine is idiling at like 300 and bobbing up and down like right at the verge of shutting off

That sounds normal.
I idle at around 700 to 800 rpm as well with an injen intake

Did you take anything else off besides what needed to come off for the new intake? Checked for vacuum leaks? Good seal around the MAF?

the intake wont be the problem. check for leaks, check if the air filter is on right

Did you unhook the battery for a few minutes and let the car relearn its idle?

I found the problem when we were hooking it up my friend plugged the small vacume hose because it was to small to fit on the intake i just kind of taped it together and its working fine now thanks for the help

Yeah stupid mistake it was the small hose that comes out of the top of the engine im getting the adapter for it but the tape is actually holding up for now
