Paint and Exhaust!

Postby 00lara5127 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 9:18 pm

Whats up guys. I got some awesome new stuff done to the Lara after Christmas. I got a red pinstripe down the side to match my rims, shaved my SEV6 emblems and the Toyota letters emblem, and got the two Toyota emblems and the word Solara black. I think the simple things really brought out the car. I also added a DC sports muffler, don't worry, it has a baffle and sounds great with a real nice low deep tone, not a fartbox! Let me know what you guys think.

I think it looks nice, the wheels complement the body paint, the black emblems is a nice touch, and the exhaust is a plus. :D

The pinstripe actually doesnt look bad! as for the exhaust remove that little silencer in there to give it a deeper tone. :D

thanks guys. I was a little worried about how the pinstripe would come out with the wheels but i think it looks really good. And i don't think the smaller center thing comes out.

I do agree with the emblem being black, but I kept the Toyota logo Gold. 8)

That looks really nice too. I was considering doing that until i bought wheels with red in them, it clashed.

It does under neath the canister at the very tip theres a screw holding in the center. Unscrew the nut and simply pull it out.

Not louder, just a deeper tone.

I just took it out and took it for a spin, it did actually get a little louder and it actually started backfiring a little bit so i decided to put it back in, im trying to keep it as quiet as possible but still have that low rumble. It sounds really close to what im looking for with the insert in. But question, as i approach rpm's over like 3500, the exhaust pretty much cuts out. As in you cant tell i have it at all, my loudest point is prolly 2500 rpms, why is this happening?

well its not a real cat back all it is is a muffler right? if thats the case thats why it sounds like you have nothing there on rpms where the car is just coasting. when you get on it is it loud?
