Sea Foam (With Pic )

Man... Just did this 2 days ago before changing the oil... I thought I was going to kill my car; when the brake hose was out, the car was running close to stalling (like 500 RPM), and there was a RIDICULOUS amount of smoke coming out the back... Since my car had a recent BMC gasket leake (and probably sucked in some dirt), I almost thought I broke something!

But OMG I definitely noticed a huge difference when I did all 3 at the same time: After pouring out ridiculously blackened oil, running the engine full tilt watching black smoke spew out for at least 1 1/2 minutes and driving around the block, I noticed the "stutter" when putting my foot on the throttle is 95% gone, the engine is a tad quieter (not what I got my intake for but oh well), and just smoother overall; the damn thing (after a couple of repairs) runs like a Benz now! Thanks for the post-up!

With the cops around here and most of them being fairly nice I would not be surprised if they would pull you over to let you know about it. I had one pull me over on my bike to tell me my rear tire was looking a little flat which on a motorcycle is a serious safety concern.

DO NOT USE SEAFOAM IN A PRIUS OR HYBRID TOYOTA

the intake manifolds have PTC heaters in them to heat up the incoming air for quicker "light off" of the catalytic and to get to normal operating temperature at a quickened rate.

I would not suggest using seafoam or anything like it in the intake manifold. We hardly like to use throttlebody cleaner in the cars aside from using a soaked rag.

Well, what would you suggest other than a throttle body cleaner, since you hardly use it. I've read that fuel system flushes are not recommended on a lot of vehicles, especially older ones.

I bought it used with 80k miles fro my dad when he bought his CL-S 6 speed back in 03. He took care of it so I knew the history.

Seafoam is petrol based so I would not worry too much.

I think if the only time you should be worried is if your engine was never properly cared at all... but that is not the case for us. Probably a spark plug change or cleaning if they become clogged.
