I stumbled upon this tutorial on accident while I was looking for lunar mist spray for my car. It's a pretty good-looking tutorial to fix those silver rims that just got curb rash!

Wheel scuff repair

Enjoy!

Wouldn't it be more logical to remove the wheel of the car so that you don't accidentally spray the car?

Anyone know how to get the correct color for any particular rim?

I need to do some rim fixing myself.

They don't just look like Porsche wheels, they ARE Porsche wheels. That's half the reason I trusted that the guy knew what he was doing (who wants to ruin one of those rims :o ?).

I have yet to find a tut for fixing chrome rims, but I'll be sure to post it if I do :).

Actually, I think those are BMW wheels, as it was posted on BMWTips.com website.

Great article, I don't know if I'd have the patience to do all of that.

just mask off everything around the wheel that might get sprayed.

Take it off!

Why would you even risk the over spray, when it is so easy to remove the wheel. It is not like you are going anywhere while repairing. Plus you could work where you are not bent over and can lay the tire flat. No drips then and even drying. Other than that I am definatley doing this to at least two of my rims. Thats city life for you.
