Hi

Looking for a 1999-2003 Solara with manual transmission. I am located in Los Angeles, CA but I am willing to drive to you to buy the car. Preferably low mileage if possible. No mods needed. Be happy with just stock parts. Let me know. Thanks!

Those are very rare to find. If you find one out there i would recomend buying it asap. Other than that your other option is doing a tranny swap. Which is also hard to locate a 5spd tranny for these cars. You can try the mr2 forums most of those guys run our setup and some sometimes have spare 5 speeds lying around. Good luck with your search!

Yeah, it took me about a year of looking and I was able to score a 99 5spd that had front damage for the swap. Scored it for $1000, but if your looking for more than a parts car, something running will be more expensive. This is the cheapest way to get the parts but I know that either trd4life or gregtrd can hook you up with all the parts you need for the swap. I think gregtrd is actually in the socal area and I believe he can find the parts and do the swap for you for a pretty good price (I can not give a price quote, that's between you guys). If your just looking for a 5spd to buy and drive, hit craigslist. If you really can't find anything, there is another wrecked 5spd up here i've been sussing out...pm me and maybe we can figure something out :)

Was burning oil. Guy just wanted to get rid of it. Of course now the motor blew up. Still worth it.
