2006 Gen 2 - Error 3 on JBL 6-disc changer

I have a 2006 Gen 2 with the JBL six disc changer. I recently got a CD stuck in it because it had a paper adhesive label on the CD that bubbled up. The unit is showing "Error 3". I travel a lot for work, and this is a huge deal for me not having music.

I basically wanted to know if anyone has had success fixing this. I'm moderately handy, and was maybe interested on instructions on how to remove the unit from the dash so I can tinker with it and take it apart to manually remove the disc if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a link to a youtube video tear down of the center console/dash to get at the stereo.

This is sort of a longshot question, but does anyone have any advice or experience with removing a stuck CD from the in-dash 6 disc changer?

I'm wondering if removing the player from the dash will even be of any benefit in getting the CD out of the unit.

I found this on another forum. Not a solara, but a similar looking jbl. Scroll down a bit for great pics.

Thanks so much. I'm hoping my JBL is a similar unit and I can do the same type of lid removal to get the CD free.

***UPDATE***

Using both the YouTube video and the pictures I was just able to take the sucker out of my dash and remove the jammed CD.

After over a month of no music in my car (absolute hell on long drives and even daily commuting) I finally have my tunes back. I'm the happiest man in the world right now.

:bday:
