I would just take your ride to a coin-op car wash and blast the remaining chrome off of your grille. Mine was flaking pretty bad and that's what I did. Careful of the Toyota emblem: they have thicker chrome and probably wont blast off as easy. I avoided my Toy emblem, blasted the loose chrome off, and I think it looks MUCH better now.
