......Slumbering Menace????

I shot a late evening shot of my pair of Toyota Coupes... (sandwiching the wife's "odd-ity"...) I had to bump up the mid-tone... because even with a timed exposure... this one plays out "dark" to keep the highlights in check.

The "beater" '89 supra on the right hadn't really "run" for several years... an idle monster in the shadow of the shiny Solara. I did an early morning "tinker-session" over a couple cups of Sumatran... and may have figured something out! Anyway... yesterday, I managed to go out and thrash on the boost for a spell... and although I only got it to hold 12lbs for several "playful launches" at varied speeds in the early gears... and I'm sorry I leave the thing sitting so much! WOW! :o Went and SEARED through first so hard on a "soft launch" it rapped out on the limiter for several taps before I could slip it into second... and then slide around under full throttle all the way through second, breaking 'em free for a moment with THIRD before squatting down and proceeding to SURGE my forward as the 255 BFG's truggled to keep a grip till I snapped off the pedal and a head snapping GTP car-esque CHE-CHE pwshweeeeeet expulsion of now unwelcome boost is bled off into the atmosphere like an impromptu sneeze! WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Anyway... I had to take a quick snapshot to honor the "Old Iron" for putting up with all the neglect these recent years... always lookin' over at the "pampered" 'lara sitting beside her like a thumb in the eye. 8)

"TWO WOLVES"!!! I like that!

In reality... it's one "PUP" and an "ALPHA MALE" we're talking here...

Hopefully... I'll let the lead dog out to play a little this summer... it's been too long since I broke traction under hard throttle at tripple-digit speeds with a four-wheeled vehicle...

I'll need all 15-16lbs to make it all that, though. Maybe next weekend.

Gotta go to Canada and maybe LA later in the week... I wish I could just hang out around the house and play with cars!

HKS... just makes me wanna get up extra early, great the day with a stiff cup of Joe and my bedhead... and break the peaceful morning chatter of little birds apart with the obnoxious rasp of my throaty straightpipes growl... 8)

you have some great photography skills. i really like that pic.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

MULLET!!!! HA HA HA! :D

Thanks Jeff; guys... I like the shot too.... there are several things going on with it that made it "technically challenging" and "aesthetically pleasing" that make it particularly interesting to me.
