I did flat black a few years ago on my car. I just re-painted them gloss black last week. I'll try to post up some pics. Also, I suggest painting that chrome strip right above your grille. It just looks so bada**


1) I'm looking into black chrome plating for my 350Z wheels. There's a plater here in Ypsi. This would be a clean alternative to the cheapo painting. If you do paint, go with a gloss and lots of clear coat. Just a suggestion.

2) As for the chrome strip on the hood, I used a black vinyl over mine. The durability was fantastic. Just unbolt it from the hood to apply. I suggest using a hairdryer to heat up the vinyl on the edges so it takes the shape of the trim and looks clean on the edges.


Here's my chrome strip after vinyl treatment. (Just before I replaced my grill that was beat to hell and back.)
