New 18'' TRD wheels -UPDATED PICS

Postby CosmicGrooves » Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:18 am

Time to get rid of that wheel gap though!

These comments annoy me.

Only under certain circumstances do I like the idea of lowering a car. The Solara never meets those circumstances (track car)... unless, all you're doing it taking pictures of it, then go ahead and lower it.

But that's just my country-folk point of view.

If my car looks lowered in these pics, it's only because I'm loaded with gear.

[edit] And another photo (crappy phone-cam) of off-road Solara.

Here's a pic just showing some bad road conditions that would love to have lowered car for breakfast. This stretch of street isn't so bad, but go around that corner....

ok ok, Thread hijack over. Just had my little rant. :drinking:

When we put wheels on our gen1's and gen4 Camrys, to me at least, our cars look like SUVs with stock ride height. :x

OP, the car looks good. Do your thing! :D

We have the best wheels on this message board! :drinking: :evilbat:

^^^hell ya^^^

i agree with most the ppl here our cars need to be lowered, mainly for appearance and not for improved handling. Need to rid it of that "SUV" look.

and thanks for the wheel info NVDIS1 I've been searching for that.,

that does seem to be the correct part number but these wheels are definately 8 inches wide, not 7.5

and what type of coils do you plan on getting? i am pleased with my d2s on my camry.

Awesome wheels, were almost mine at some point last year. Lowering is not for everyone, so do you. I've gone through 3 different rear spring setups in the last year (4 if you include OEM) to get the stance I wanted, and I kick myself occasionally when I've got a full car going down a crappily paved/poorly maintained freeway or public road, so I can see why some would choose to remain stock.
