6/11/09 Update

KILLA CAM wrote:Small Update...

Next week, it will be two months since the front left side of my car was hit parked on the street. I've yet to be contacted by the police, so I said screw it and finally put the bumper on. I pulled out the fender with my hands to get the lights and bumper to fit. There is a gap between the corner light and the bumper, but it is no biggie since I will very shortly be taking it up to a shop that does great work for next to nothing. Just have make a few more little changes and then it's off to get body work and a fresh coat of paint plus the rest of the US TRD lip kit. BTW, all chrome trim on the car will be blacked out.

Here is what she looks like now... 8)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the second TRD front fascia to come to the states!

Not in perfect condition, but I would've still had to paint it to match my car, so I'll be getting it looking brand spankin' new.

Here it is...

This will be on the Killa by the end of spring! Stay tuned!

I think you are right. There was someone that was trying to sell a bumper like that here on the boards about 2-3 months ago. Is it off of something called "TRD Garcia"? Memory is a little rusty... If not, nevermind my question... But yeah, looks nice.

Thanks for all the compliments. I had planned on having the bumper on the Killa by now, but I'm waiting on the Hit Skip officer to get back to me on a hit and run incident that happened two weeks ago:

Image

Image

Damage to the corner lamp I can live with, since I was no longer going to use those. The fender however will need to be pulled out. I'm hoping the guy who hit me ends up having insurance so I can get some money out of this. This is the THIRD time in the past TWO months where somebody has hit me and took off. Luckily the third time I witnessed it, caught up with the SUV down the road and took down the license plate.

The other two hit and runs happened either when I was parked on the street or most likely in a parking lot. Unfortunately I don't know when and where they happened but here are pictures of the damage:

Image

Whoever it was had a blue car...

Image

It's hard to see on this one, but I'm pretty sure the bracket that goes inside the bumper is broken, the side is popped out, I'll have to take my subs and amps enclosure apart to get to the inside to find out...

Image

Once I find out if the guy who hit me has insurance, it will be a go for the TRD bumper. I'll keep you guys updated!

I'm sorry to see that! At least it wasn't anything too bad (and your rims were saved).

hopefully, you are able to get some money out of this.
