X2 on the lights. I don't think we've seen your whole car before have we? It looks good. Also what method to remove the stripes, mine could use a little removal.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

Looks better wiothout the stripes. 8)
I need to tackle that project this weekend. :-?
All you need is goo gone and a hair dryer.
Its pretty much the same process as removing the gunk after debadging.

^It's easy unless the pinstripe is old. My solara was a breeze, but my fiance's car was a PITA. The dark color still shows the fading after a year.

OP, I don't know what your ride looked like before, but no pinstrip is always a win!

i used the VHT night shade stuff in the spray can, with the krylon clear

for the black stripe i could peel a part of it up with my finger nail and i could just pull it off. It was actually fairly easy. For the silver i used a utility knife blade and very carefully just peeled it off.

As for the adhesive left over i used goo gone, and then waxed/buffed it, and looks like new!

I think cars look alot better without stripes... that was a 90's thing. its just extra money for the dealer, your paying like an extra 30 bucks for a long sticker.

I take off trim, and add a rubber guard on the side of my car (always looks stock) it has saved me from a ton of damage to my car! never in my life have i had a dent from somebodys door.

My stripe is peeling away and looks terrible. I thought about removing it and replacing ir with a real pinstripe in gold - to match my emblems.

aw that sucks, i feel for you. Just get some trim, check out pics of my car on cardomain for placement, its a great height. i also got trim on the edge of my door so when people get out of my car they dont hit poles or anything and hurt my car.

But the trick is to make it perfectly level, or it looks bad, take your time doing it, it will pay off, and you dont even notice it unless your looking for it
