Yeah, I know I'm definitely not the first, but there aren't all that many. It was definitely worth the time, effort, and money.

Over labor day weekend, I will actually be taking them apart again and fixing them up a little bit... there are a couple of flaws that I made that aren't noticeable really unless you know that they're there... but I know that they're there, and it eats me up inside lol. Also, I didn't seal them well enough the first time as there is a little bit of moisture leak, so I'll need to take them apart anyway.

Now does anyone know anything about silica gel packets and whether they really work as far as moisture absorption and heat resistance?


never tried silica gel packets, but when i opened up my gen2 headlights, i used clear silicone all weather proof on it. also used 3 or 4 rubber clamps to keep it sealed tight. cost about 4 dollars to buy at home depot. forgot what brand tho
