Odd Mine was loud as screw with just the Y pipe no cat and really fricken loud with just the manifolds like a damn stock car.

that exhaust is really nice ! looks like my Apexi N1 that im gonna install next month

haha, YOO TOO?!?? omg... same here... Except, since Apex'i don't make exhaust systems for the Solara, you mean to get the universal muffler and take it to a shop and weld it on right? That's what i'm gonna do...

and ThatVietGuy... haha, yeah, i expected a louder sound too with no exhaust... but then again, you said you still had the cat in there right? That's probably a big reason why...

i actually got it done today and yes its a N1 unversal that i have but the special edition with kinda goldish color...

they bent a 90 degres pipe and welded the thing.. sounds mean but probebly gonna get the resonator off and weld a streight pipe

Just get the whole thing done high flow resonator from ebay 1 90 degree bend and one slight offset. Otherwise it is just noise with little to no gain and this is not a civic forum so we don't want that. It should be cheap I know mine was.

Not sure if that is a joke but you are right cherry bombs make great resonators cheap and effective with good flow about 20 bucks shipped on ebay for a hooker too hot cherry bomb.
