Actually the V-6 and I-4 gages are different. (Look at the shifter pattern. The V-6 has sport shifting and the I-4 did not)

Yup, you are correct. Solara I4s of '04 and '05 had the 4 speed Standard Automatic, whereas the I4 Solara picked up the 5 Speed Sequential in 2006, which made the dash the same as the other V6s (of the same trim) from '04-'06. (in 2007 everything was changed)...

The other thing of note is that the 4 banger has a slightly higher redline.

Hey Crisp, my speedo looks kinda like yours (I know, mine's at a stop, but that's not the focus of my shot) :-P This was taken yesterday ;-)

WHA??? Why only to 140???

My gage goes to 160 in the '89...

I'll take a "focused shot" tomorrow when it's light, if possible...

Hahaha no dude, my speedo goes up to 150 but I didn't capture that low on the gauge (I was trying to get between the steering wheel and the light turned green). It was more of an afterthought while I was sitting at the light and noticed I had JUST hit 60K miles on my '88 :-D

Yeah, you got a top speed bump on the speedo to 160, but my rev limiter is set higher :-P In reality, our top speeds are the same (you can just get there a "tad" faster with your add-ons) ;-)
